519Convergence is an exciting opportunity for London artists of all disciplines to work together and develop interesting new work. It is a multi disciplinary residency that includes side projects, community workshops, open rehearsals, an umbrella project, and an open lab performance. 519Convergence is modelled after The Indy Convergence program based out of Indianapolis.
Our mandate is to foster a safe, supportive environment for artists to collaborate, share, and learn together without fear of failure. This is a space to develop an existing project or idea, or come up with a new idea that can grow and flourish beyond the residency.
We want to create a space where different artists connect with each other and with community members. We host workshops open to the public, and share the incredible work from our residency in an Open Lab performance. The workshops and Open Lab give people a chance to experience the artists’ process and develop their own creativity.
